I have always had a passion for cooking. I was not a bad cook, and could make simple meals. After all, it was just me, my amazing wife, and our cats. Then the pandemic happened and we found ourselves housebound. I did not want to cook the same things over and over so I decided to take up cooking as hobby. I started an Instagram to document my progress and share some delicious food photos with the rest of the world. From there, I just cooked and shared my content for fun. I found that my passion for cooking has also helped tremendously with my mental health as 22 years in the military left me with PTSD due to life threatening situations I had experienced working in Security and Law Enforcement. So join Sous Chef Jason and I as we bring amazing recipes from our kitchen to yours.

Not much is known about her pre-shelter life but when she came home with us, she was a scared little kitty who remained very standoffish for about a good year or so. Slowly but steadily she warmed up to us and one day decided to join me in the kitchen. For her own safety, we brought in a stool for her to sit on, and she was happy to just chill there while watching me cook. Of course I had to start letting her inspect everything and even taste test for me. After many kitchen cooking adventures, she decided it was time to cross the rainbow bridge and the kitchen wasn't quite the same without her and never will be.
Following the loss of Fiona, there was a hole left in our hearts so we adopted Jason from a local rescue here in Pittsburgh. Following the loss of Fiona, there was a hole left in our hearts so we adopted Jason from a local rescue here in Pittsburgh. He had been picked up as a stray after being found digging through the trash, and brought to the shelter where he lived happily amongst his brothers and sisters. Like Fiona, he loves the kitchen and is always under foot. Unlike Fiona though, he doesn't stay on the safety stool and much prefers getting on the counter and being directly involved in helping with meals. We think that while Fiona may have passed on, her little ghost is still here and is always giving Jason new ideas on how to get into mischief both in and out of the kitchen.
